Der Tag hat am Bahnhof begonnen. Wir trafen uns um 7:15 Uhr in Niederwalgern, von wo wir anschließend mit dem Zug nach Gießen fuhren. Das Warten auf den Zug war nicht sehr angenehm, da es sehr kalt war und der eisige Wind kaum ertragbar war. Alle waren sehr aufgeregt und nahmen von ihren Eltern Abschied. Nachdem wir in Gießen angekommen waren, sind wir innerhalb von 6 Minuten zum nächsten Zug geeilt. Dieser Zug brachte uns zum Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof, von wo aus wir mit einer S-Bahn zum Flughafen gelangten. Nachdem wir es endlich durch alle Kontrollen geschafft hatten, stiegen wir immer noch sehr aufgeregt in unser Flugzeug nach Istanbul. Nach ungefähr 2:40 Stunden landeten wir heil in Istanbul. Langsam legte sich die Aufregung und wurde durch anhaltende Müdigkeit ersetzt. Im Anschluss folgte der Flug nach Tansania, welcher ungefähr 7 Stunden dauerte. Viele versuchten Schlaf zu finden, doch nur wenige fanden ihn. Obwohl viele behaupteten das Essen sei schlecht, schmeckte es fast allen. In Tansania angekommen holte uns ein Bus ab. Dieser wird uns auch die nächsten Tage noch begleiten. Wir staunten nicht schlecht über die Beladungskünste unserer Busfahrer. Trotz des Gesamtvolumens von einer halben Tonne Gepäck, kamen wir sicher am Ziel an.

The day started at the train station in Niederwalgern. We met at 7.15 a.m. and initially travelled to Gießen. Waiting for the train was very uncomfortable because a cold wind was blowing. However, everybody was excited about the trip and finally bid farewell to their parents. After arriving in Gießen, we hurried for the next train as far as we only had 6 minutes of time. We headed for Frankfurt, where we switched to the railway system that lead directly to the airport. After passing all the official controls, we were still excited about the flight to Istanbul. We arrived there 2 hours and 40 minutes later. The excitement finally decreased and was slowly replaced by tiredness. Afterwards, we took the flight to Tanzania which lasted about 7 hours. Many tried to find some sleep, but only few could. Although many pupils asserted that the food was horrible, everybody seemed to enjoy it. Arrived in Tanzania, we were fetched by a bus which will accompany us during the following days. We really appreciated the skills of the bus drivers concerning arranging the luggage. Though the whole weight of the luggage was about half a tonne, we arrived safely at our place of destination.

Nach dem langen Tag erreichten wir um 3:00 Uhr Ortszeit das Brother‘s Centre in Moshi. Brother Fidelis nahm uns herzlich in Empfang Im Anschluss bekamen wir unsere Zimmer zugeteilt und versuchten noch ein paar Stunden Schlaf zu bekommen, bevor es am nächsten Morgen um 10:00 Uhr Frühstück gab.

We came to the Brother's Centre in Moshi after a very long trip at 3 a.m. in the night. Brother Fidelis welcomed us friendly. Subsequently we were arranged to our rooms and tried to get some sleep before we went for breakfast at 10 a.m. the next morning.
